Day 1 Beijing tour
Highlights: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Badaling Great Wall

Schedule: Pick you up from your hotel in the morning, and drive to visit the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, which is the largest and best-preserved palatial complex. After lunch, drive to visit the Badaling Great Wall. Badaling section is the most famous and best-preserved wall. Its highest point at Badaling is some 800 meters above sea level. Cable car is available and it is optional. After dinner, transfer to the Beijing West Train Station to take train to Xi'an by the soft sleeper.

Schedule: Our guide and driver will pick you up at the train station in Xi'an, afterwards, drive to visit the 8th wonder in the world-Terra Cotta Warriors that were formed more than 2000 years ago. After lunch in the downtown, we will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is a seven-storey square cone-shaped tower built in the Tang Dynasty, about the 7th Century. It was used to store the Buddhism scriptures and statues brought back from India by Master Xuanzang. After dinner, our guide and driver will send you to the Xi'an train station, you will take train to Chengdu by the soft sleeper class.
Day 3 Chengdu Tour

Schedule: Our guide and driver will pick you up at the Chengdu train station at lunch time, after lunch and check-in at hotel; we will visit the Wuhou Temple and Jinli Street this afternoon, two attractions are next to each other. Wuhou Temple is dedicated to Zhuge Liang; the Martial Marquis of Shu in the Three Kingdoms (220AD-280AD). Memorial temples were erected in many places after his death including the most famous one in Chengdu. And the history of Jinli Ancient Street can date back to the Three Kingdoms period too.
Day 4 Chengdu Tour

Schedule: Today, we will firstly visit the base camp of the pandas in the world-Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Center, wildly known as Panda Base, currently there are more than 100 pandas are living there. Afterwards, drive to Leshan to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha. Measured a height of 71 meters, 17 meters taller than the standing Buddha in Afghanistan, therefore it is the largest stone sculpture of Buddha in the world and was added to the World Natural and Cultural Heritage List in 1996. His shoulders are 28 meters across. The head is 14.7 meters long and 10 meters broad with total 1021 buns of hair on it. The instep, which is 8.5 meters wide, can accommodate 100 people. The toe is large enough to accommodate a dinner table. Drive back to Chengdu in the later afternoon and transfer back to hotel.
Day 5 Chengdu-Lhasa flight

Schedule: Pick you up from your hotel in the morning, and drive you to airport in Chengdu to catch the flight bound for Lhasa. Our guide and driver in the holy city of Lhasa will pick you up at airport in Lhasa and then transfer you to the hotel booked for you. Today, we arrange no tour for you in order to let you rest and acclimatize better for the next days' guided tour. You can hang out by yourself to get the first impression of the holy city of Lhasa.

Schedule: In the morning, visit the symbol or landmark of Lhasa-PotalaPalace, the successive Dalai Lama's winter residence. In the afternoon, visit the center of Tibetan Buddhism-Jorhkang Temple, where you will come across lots of devoted pilgrimages coming from every corner of Tibet. Both sites are under the list of the world cultural heritages by the UNISCO.
Day 7 Lhasa city tour
Highlights: Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery

Schedule: In the morning, we will visit Drepung Monastery which is the biggest Tibetan Buddhism College with the biggest number of monks in Tibet. The monastery used to be the winter residence of the Dalai Lama before the 5th Dalai Lama moved his residency to the Potala Palace. And in the afternoon, we will visit another influential Gelugpa Monastery-Sera Monastery, where the largest scale of scripture debating among monks is famous all across Tibet. We will watch the debate session and you may join in too with the help your guide.
Day 8 Tour ends, departure transfer to train station or airport.
